Dream Girl song “Dhagala Lagli Kala” violates copyright issues; removed from digital platform

Ayushmann Khurrana and Nushrat Bharucha starrer Bollywood film Dream Girl seems to be in trouble due to its song “Dhagala Lagli Kala” as violated copyright issues.

A remix of a popular Marathi song from Dada Kondke’s film, the song Dhagala Lagli Kala has now been removed from every digital platform because it violated copyright issues. It was a peppy number with not only national award winner Ayushmann and Nushrat in the lead but also Riteish Deshmukh in a special appearance.

Going by the reports, Delhi high court had earlier this week, put a restrain on Balaji Balaji Motion Pictures, Zee Entertainment, and Alt Digital from using any part of the original song from Kondke’s Bot Lavin Tithe Gudgulya.

It was after a petition filed by Saregama India that Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw gave the verdict, and since then, the track was eventually removed from every platform.

Speaking of the film, which released last week, Dream Girl is still doing great at the box office and poses as a tough competition to the new releases- The Zoya Factor, Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas and Prassthanam.
