In 2017, the government of India shared the data regarding the number of Indian students studying in foreign universities. According to the data, around 5.5 lakh students are studying abroad in as many as 86 countries.

Over the years there has been an upsurge in the number of Indian students choosing foreign destinations to pursue higher studies. According to the data released by the government around 3 lakh (more than 50% of the total number of Indian students studying abroad) students study in the United States itself.

One of the factors for this could be the lack of information amongst students regarding the various other options available worldwide. So, we decided to come up with a comprehensive guide for our readers.

Below we will analyze some of the most sought-after countries that one can go to pursue their post-graduation/ PhD. We will discuss various aspects which one should take into consideration while applying for the colleges.

Canada
The Maple-country houses some of the most prestigious college amidst its cold air. Bordering the United States, it is the second most sought-after study location for the Indian abroad. Over the last 5 years, there has been a constant rise in the number of students choosing the northern-most North American country over the years. Much of this can be accounted to the US government’s now strict stance on the issue of immigration.
