Dream Scenario Plot
In Dream Scenario, Nicolas Cage portrays Professor Paul Matthews, a socially alienated and solitary individual. Paul’s existence takes a bizarre turn, however, when he mysteriously appears in the dreams of several unrelated individuals. The college professor is entirely baffled by the explanations for this mysterious occurrence. Paul embarks on a voyage to unravel the mysteries surrounding his newly discovered connection to the subconscious minds of others. The film has been categorized as a horror comedy, despite the fact that the premise may initially invoke thoughts of a science fiction or fantasy mystery. As a result, Paul’s pursuit of these answers may lead him to hilariously unsettling territory, causing him to query whether certain mysteries should be left unsolved.
Dream Scenario Cast
Nicolas Cage plays the main role in Dream Scenario, and he is a truly brilliant actor known for his unwavering commitment and outstanding performances. Even more thrilling is the fact that Cage is not the only notable celebrity in the film’s cast. Michael Cera, known for his recent outstanding performance in Barbie as Allan, is also a member of the ensemble. Emmy-winning actress Julianne Nicholson, renowned for her portrayal in Mare of Easttown, joins them.
Additionally, audiences can expect to see Dylan Baker from Hunters and Tim Meadows from The Goldbergs. The cast also includes Dylan Gelula (from Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Kate Berlant (from Sorry to Bother You), Lily Gao (from Slip), Noah Lamanna (from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds), Krista Bridges (from Narc), Paula Boudreau (from Doc), Marnie McPhail (from The Edison Twins), Kaleb Horn (from The Kid Detective), and Sofia Banzhaf (from The Kid Detective) (noted for Closet Monster).
Dream Scenario Director
Dream Scenario is directed by up-and-coming filmmaker Kristoffer Borgli, whose critically acclaimed dramatic horror film Sick of Myself garnered significant attention among indie film devotees last year. Despite the fact that Borgli is not yet a globally recognized household name, the film benefits from the involvement of a notable industry producer. One of the producers is Ari Aster, who has firmly established himself as one of the most recognizable names in film. Hereditary, Midsommar, and Beau is Afraid, all of which are widely regarded as some of the most outstanding horror films of the past decade, were all directed by Aster in collaboration with A24, where he enjoyed a fruitful relationship.
Cinematographer Benjamin Loeb (known for Pieces of a Woman), production designer Zosia Mackenzie (known for Infinity Pool), art director John O’Regan (known for Firestarter), art director Brittany Morrison (known for Possessor), and costume designer Natalie Bronfman (known for her work on The Handmaid’s Tale) are among the film’s talented crew.
