The DU’s decision to conduct the exams in ‘open-book’ mode online was criticised by the teachers and student bodies, terming it ‘discriminatory’ and ‘unfair’. Delhi University Teachers’ Association (DUTA) also said that ‘open-book’ mode online is not viable for a large University such as DU, with its diverse student population.
The teachers body said that ‘open-book’ exam was very different from the kind of exams DU students are used to, so it will increase the anxiety of most students.
