Srinagar: Grand Mufti of Kashmir has announced the sighting of moon on Saturday evening, Eid will be celebrated on Sunday in the valley.

Muslims in India apart from Kerala and Kashmir and Bangladesh will celebrate Eid al Fitr on Monday May 25, 2020, it is officially confirmed by religious authorities a little while ago.

“There is no report of moon sighting from any part of India. Hence Sunday will be 30th Ramadan 1441H. Eid al Fitr will be celebrated on Monday May 25, 2020”, Muizuddin Ahmed of Imarat-e-Sharaiyah Hind, New Delhi

Muslims in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Morocco, Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Palestine, Yemen, Sudan, Tunisia, Oman and other GCC nations will celebrate Eid al Fitr on Sunday May 24, 2020.

In Turkey, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand too Sunday May 24 marks the first day of Eid al Fitr 2020.
