Heart failure and hypertrophic heart disease were named as the recognized causes of death. Coronary artery disease was also named.
Turen was hit while driving his Tesla on a freeway in California. His son, who is 10 years old, stopped the car and pulled it over to the side of the road. After that, Turen was taken to the hospital, where he died.
Turen started by producing Larry Clark’s Wassup Rockers. He then worked with Sam Levinson to produce Malcolm and Marie, Waves by Trey Shultz, Arbitrage by Nicholas Jarecki, The Birth of a Nation by Nate Parker, Pieces of a Woman by Kornel Mondruczo, 99 Homes by Ramin Bahrani, and Ti West’s X trilogy.
Evelina, his wife of 44 years, and their two kids, Jack and James, will miss the producer.
