Family of home guards dying on duty to get government jobs in Bihar

This was the first meeting chaired by CM Nitish Kumar after the expansion of the cabinet which saw the induction of 17 new ministers. Cabinet also cleared the proposal for amendments in the Bihar Probation Service Rules 2014.

The state cabinet of Bihar on Tuesday approved the home department’s proposal to provide the job to the relatives of the home guards in case of their death or permanent physical disability during the duty. 

This was the first meeting chaired by CM Nitish Kumar after the expansion of the cabinet which saw the induction of 17 new ministers. Cabinet also cleared the proposal for amendments in the Bihar Probation Service Rules 2014. 

Six Proposals passed in the first meeting

The cabinet gave green light to invest Rs 30.05 crore on setting up 3-star hotel on Gaya-Dobhi road at Bodh Gaya under the industries department. 

Cabinet agreed to the proposal of the excise department to release Rs 5.79 crore as stamp duty and registration fee for preparing documents for handing over 30 acres of land on a 99-year lease for setting up a global learning center, Nalanda Institute, under Bodh Gaya circle. 

The Bihar Municipal Service Grade Rule 2021 was also passed in the meeting.
