Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine USA nurse faint

A video of a nurse fainting after getting the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine shot has gone viral for all the wrong reasons possibly. Soon after this video went viral, rumors of the nurse’s death also made headlines on the microblogging site. Additional to this, conspiracy theorists also stated that how this video is evidence of a potential mass genocide — none of which is true, obviously.

In the video, nurse Tiffany Dover who received the shot was addressing a press conference, when she touched her forehead, apologized, and said she was feeling dizzy.

“Sorry, I’m feeling really dizzy,” she said before she fainted on live TV. In the video, she can be seen fainting as doctors catch her and lower her to the ground. This incident happened in Chattanooga hospital in Tennessee, the United States.

While addressing the press conference, Tiffany Dover said, “All of my staff, you know, we are excited to get the vaccine. We are in the COVID unit, so, therefore, you know, my team will be getting the first chances to get the vaccine.” It was when she passed out.

Stop fear-mongering, says Dr Faheem Younus

Urging people to stop fear-mongering, University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center VP and Chief Quality Officer Faheem Younus said that this is not an allergic reaction but a vasovagal response. He said, “This viral clip; Is not an allergic reaction; It’s vasovagal response. Google the term, Requires no tests/treatments, Nurse is doing well (link below), Stop fear mongering. Please.”

According to Mayo Clinic, vasovagal response occurs when a person faints after a body overreacts to certain triggers. It is also called neurocardiogenic syncope. Vasovagal response is usually harmless and requires no treatment.

After recovering, Tiffany Dover said, “It just hit me all of the sudden, I could feel it coming on. I felt a little disoriented but I feel fine now, and the pain in my arm is gone.”
