The Accidental Prime Minister’s stars Anupam Kher, Akshaye Khanna and 12 others are facing a hard time again as Muzaffarpur Police has lodged an FIR against them on a district court’s direction over the movie. The FIR was lodged on Tuesday after the court took objection to non-compliance of its January 8 order in this regard.
The complaint was filed by advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha, and in the plea, he mentioned that former PM Manmohan Singh and a number of other public figures were showcased in a bad light in the movie. Ojha had moved to the court of sub-divisional judicial magistrate Saba Alam on February 4 to mention that its order was not complied with by the police.
“On this, the court issued a show-cause notice to Kanti police station through the Muzaffarpur senior superintendent of police after which police lodged an FIR yesterday (Tuesday),” Ojha told media.As per DNA, Senior Superintendent of Police, Manoj Kumar said he ordered the police station to comply with the court’s order as soon as he got to know about the same.
Police have lodged the FIR under IPC sections 295, 153, 153A, 293, 504, 506, 120B and 34. Talking about the movie, the same is a biographical film directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte and written by Mayank Tewari. The movie was based the 2014 memoir of the same name by Sanjaya Baru. Anupam Kher played the role of Manmohan Sigh and Akshaye Khanna played the role of Sanjaya Baru.
