In a spree of political interviews at the time of Lok Sabha Election 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi dropped down for a “candid interview” with Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, revealing his love for mangoes to retirement plans and many friends in the opposition.

PM Modi’s love for Mangoes 

Kumar while in conversation with PM Modi, asked if he liked eating mangoes. In response to this, PM Modi got nostalgic and spoke about how he used to enjoy mangoes as a child. He told Akshay Kumar how he used to pluck mangoes from trees during his childhood. However, PM said, he needed to keep a tab on his diet.

PM Modi’s retirement plans

Modi told actor that he sleeps for 3-4 hours a day.  “My body cycle has become such that I don’t feel like having more sleep.  Even Barack Obama asked me once how do you keep yourself active by sleeping so less. But one thing I will do after retirement is to explore how to sleep for more than 3-4 hours.”

Modi wanted to join Army

In the interview, PM Modi said he never thought he will go on to become the Prime Minister. “I never dreamt of becoming the Prime Minister.  I always wanted to be in the Army to serve the nation. My family wanted me to get a job.”

Modi’s relationship with members of the opposition

On his relationship with members of the other parties, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he has many friend in the Opposition. Narendra Modi said West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee sends him kurtas every year. “We are good friends. Whenever we get time, we have lunch together.  Mamata didi sends me Bengali sweets even now,” Modi added.

“When I see memes on me  on social media, I think about the creativity which has gone into it. One of the best things about social media is that there is plenty of creativity.”
