FT B-school ranking: IIM Ahmedabad tops the list, followed by IIM Calcutta, IIM Bangalore

Financial Times World MBA Ranking 2019: Indian B-Schools Among Top 50

Financial Times Masters in Management Ranking declares the best Business schools in India and in Asia. Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad has been ranked as the best business school in India and second best in Asia. Indian Institute of Management-Calcutta ranked second in India and third in Asia. Indian Institute of Management Bangalore become third best business school in India.

Talking about global ranking, Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad ranked number 21 while Indian Institute of Management-Calcutta was ranked number 23 among other 104 B-Schools around the world that participated in the survey.  Last year Indian Institute of Management-Kolkata was ranked 28th among global business schools.

China’s B-School Shanghai Jiao Tong University in Antai tops the list of best business schools in Asia. Then comes India’s two premium colleges Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad followed by Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. This was followed by China’s Skema Business School. Indian Institute of Management Bangalore secured fifth position in the global ranking followed by another Chinese B-School Tongji University School of Economics and Management. Then comes Grenoble Ecole de Management from Singapore followed by IQS/FJU/USF from Taiwan. Hult International Business School from China gets ninth rank while Singapore Management University, Lee Kong Chian from Singapore managed to secure tenth position in the global ranking.

“Our alliance with CEMS and ESCP Europe have paved the way to garner double degree programme a success. Coupled with student exchange programme with globally well-known business schools, currently IIM Calcutta is tied up with over 100 such schools and the exchange programme is gaining momentum every year. In 2017-18, 133 students from IIM Calcutta participated in exchange programme, while 87 students from partner schools spent their term at IIM Calcutta,” said the release.

India has improved its academic infrastructure, sports facilities and as per the global standard to attract more international students, so much that it has been recognised around the world.
