In an appalling incident which took place at Gargi college on Feb 6 in the college premises where the girls have alleged to be molested and harassed by men, they have staged a protest at the campus today.
An FIR has been registered at Hauz Khas police station after the college authorities have filed complaint into the matter and also DCW summons Gargi College principal, asks her to appear before Feb 13.
While there was a 2-hour inquiry which happened at the college campus, the students will continue to their indefinite strike until their demands are met.
For the uninitiated, students from south Delhi’s all-girls Gargi College alleged that they were manhandled, molested and sexually assaulted on the college campus during ‘Reverie’, the annual cultural fest, by drunk men who barged inside the college under the watch of the police.
A student also alleged that when she approached the college principal Promila Kumar, she responded by saying that I should have not come to the fest if I felt so unsafe.
After this horrendous incident came to light, Bollywood celebs came out in support of the students and condemned the incident

Glad to see some action on it!
I hope parents of the victims of the mass-molestation at #GargiCollege realise that while the goons were from a certain political group, this time they didn’t differentiate based on religion. All your daughters were equally endangered. 🤦🏽♂️ Wake up! https://t.co/tCGt132G36

This must be what Frankenstein was about. Female students were groped at JNU, Jamia too… cctvs were broken. At #GargiCollege , the goons just proved that they never needed a reason. It was never about ideology.
These men live among us. You and yours are next.
