GATE 2024 regular registration update: Indian Institute of Science Bangalore (IISc Bangalore) will conclude the regular application period for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 on September 29. On the official website, gate2024.iisc.ac.in, qualified applicants can register for the GATE examination 2024 without paying a late fee.
IISc Bangalore will administer the GATE 2024 examination on February 3, 4, 10, and 11, 2024. To register for the GATE 2024, candidates must pay an enrollment fee of Rs 1,800. However, female pupils and those from the SC, ST, and PwD categories must pay Rs 900 to register for the exam.
GATE 2024: Extended enrollment deadline
The IISc will accept GATE registration applications with the payment of a late fee until October 13. After September 30, applicants must pay an additional Rs 500 as a late fee when submitting their GATE 2024 application.
GATE 2024 eligibility requirements
Candidates for the GATE 2024 examination must have completed the final year of an accredited bachelor’s degree programme in engineering, technology, science, arts, or commerce. or Candidates in their third year of a bachelor’s degree programme will also be eligible to take the exam. Students who wish to study abroad must have earned or be pursuing a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in engineering, technology, science, arts, or commerce (minimum of three years).
GATE 2024 is open to Indian nationals and candidates from Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Ethiopia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). IISc Bangalore has received roughly 25 percent more GATE 2024 applications than it did in 2018. Approximately 6.70 million people enrolled for the GATE examination in 2022.
