Gold and Silver Prices Today (July 30): Gold prices in India moved a bit up on Thursday, July 30, following the uptick seen in the global bullion market after the US Federal Reserve held interest rates steady. A comparatively weaker US dollar and fresh safe-haven interest gave the metal a boost, and at the same time domestic retail rates showed a slight lift across most major cities.

MCX Gold and Silver Update
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), bullion traded with a positive bias after the Federal Reserve’s policy announcement.
Gold prices surged 1.31 per cent on a weekly basis as escalating conflict between the US and Iran. Earlier on Friday, MCX gold August futures gained 0.17 per cent while MCX silver September futures advanced 1.33 per cent. Gold futures settled at Rs 1,43,066, while silver futures at Rs 2,22,301 per kg on the commodity exchange. The price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold was at Rs 1,43,781 on Friday from Rs 1,41,915 seen on Monday market opening, according to data published by the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA).

Market experts say gold could stay a bit erratic in the short run mostly because traders are kind of reacting to the coming US inflation data plus remarks from central banks.
