Google is back with another list of the most “trending” topics that were searched on the platform in 2019 on Wednesday. The search-engine giant said, ‘Cricket World Cup’ was overall the most trending topic, followed by ‘Lok Sabha Election’, ‘Chandrayaan 2’, ‘Kabir Singh’ and ‘Avenger: Endgame’.
Some of the most interesting search questions that was typed on google includes ‘How to vote’, ‘How to get Fastag’, ‘How to select channels as per TRAI’, ‘What is Article 370?’, ‘What is howdy Modi?’, ‘What is DLS method in cricket?’, ‘What is Article 15?’.
The top-5 personalities most searched on Google India’s platform were Abhinandan Varthaman, Lata Mangeshkar, Yuvraj Singh, Anand Kumar and Vicky Kaushal. Therefore, the overall list of top 10 searches this year shows the excitement in people concerning all the events held this year such as the Cricket World Cup, the Lok Sabha elections, Chandrayaan 2. Movies like Kabir Singh, Gully Boy, Mission Mangal, Joker, and releasing of Marvel’s blockbusters — Avengers: Endgame and Captain Marvel also captured the position in the list.
In addition, there have been local searches like ‘Near me…’, such as “Dance classes near me”, “Salons near me”. Interestingly, the list also includes “Air quality Index near me”, Google said in its yearly report – ‘Year in Search’.
