Under these conditions, the common people cannot travel on the local train from 7 am to 12 noon and from 4 pm to 9 pm. At this time, only essential service people will be allowed to travel on a local train.
Though instructions have been issued by the Maharashtra government, the railways will take a final decision on it. The Maharashtra government has directed to start Local Trains in Mumbai from February 1, 2021.
More than 50 lakh people travelled daily in Mumbai local before the coronavirus period. However, Mumbai Local is currently offering services only for those engaged in essential services and some others.

The Maharashtra government has ordered that the shops can now be opened till 11 pm. Restaurants can be opened till 1 pm.
