Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani’s debut on social media proved to be major disaster on Friday. Not only did he not respond to a single question in the stipulated time from 10 am to 12.30 pm, but replied the same answer to many different questions. He hosted a ‘Twitter townhall’ where citizens asked him questions related to the state government. However, Twitterati was not very pleased with the initiative, and trolled him on the microblogging site.

The users were definitely miffed and the CM invited a lot of trolls along with flak for the PR
team. Also, out of the 800 questions he answered five, to from his Vijay Rupani (@vijayrupanibjp) account and three from his CM Gujarat (@CMOGuj) account.
Even though one of his tweets said, “Received thousands of tweets @twitter Townhall. Overwhelmed by your response. My office will follow up on the questions asked. Thank you all,” he was faced with the hashtag #GujaratCMMissing.
A key officer involved in organizing the townhall said that, “The CM could not start responding on time because of some technical glitches due to co-ordination with Twitter, media partner TV channel and chief minister’s office staff.Otherwise, CM was open to respond to any question.”

I mean, dude only told us we could #AskVijayRupani. When did he say anything about answering? We should give @vijayrupanibjp an award. https://t.co/TZQl7Vhpy1
