Global Women’s Group (GWG) and British Council togetherly released the book ‘AWAKEN the Magic Within’ at the British Council in New Delhi on Friday.
The book was presented to Salma Ansari and Baroness Usha Prashar, member of the House of the Lords, United Kingdom. Prashar also contributed to the anthology.
On the book launch function, Salma Ansari said, “Today is women’s greatest challenge. Man stands at the edge of total annihilation, with technology having shrunk the world, leaving nothing sacred and private to save anymore. How is the woman going to bring back the magic of love, of compassion, beauty, song and dance, of places where flowers bloom and the green grass grows? That can only happen if she channelizes the magic within. Drawing upon the magic she was born with, she can do it. She has done it before. She can do it again”.
“This book is quite unique, it’s for the first time, there are stories of forty one women, talking in an inspirational way of what they have done, i think in that sense it should provide inspiration to all the women globally,” Baroness Usha Prashar said.
AWAKEN the Magic Within’ was launched by Vice President Dr. Hamid Ansari, on March 8th, 2017, on International Women’s Day. The book brings together women from different walks of life to share their stories of love, hope and courage.
GWG, an organisation created to celebrate the different roles of women and motivating them to live courageously, has touched the lives of hundreds of women through their experiential group coaching sessions, seminars and an entrepreneurship support cell.
