Hero MotoCorp will begin accepting reservations for its first premium motorcycle co-developed with Harley-Davidson. The Harley-Davidson X440 is now available for reservation beginning at 4:40 pm.

Buyers can reserve the Harley-Davidson X440 by visiting www.Harley-Davidsonx440.com and submitting a reserving deposit of Rs 5,000. Customers may also secure the motorcycle at any Harley-Davidson dealership or select Hero MotoCorp locations nationwide.

The Harley-Davidson X440, which was co-developed with Hero MotoCorp, has been unveiled as the company’s most affordable motorcycle. Based on the iconic design language of the XR, the X440 roadster will be available for reservation on July 4 for a nominal fee of Rs 5,000. The Milwaukee-based motorcycle manufacturer verified that the X440 will be available at Harley-Davidson dealerships and select Hero MotoCorp locations.

Harley-Davidson X440: Pricing and Available Options

Ex-showroom, Harley-Davidson has priced the X440 at Rs 2.29 lakh. It is available in Denim, Vibrant, and S variations. The prices for the latter two versions are Rs 2.49 lakh and Rs 2.69 lakh. Starting with the entry-level Denim model, it is available in Mustard paint and with spoke wheels. The Vivid, on the other hand, is available in two dual-tone hues and alloy wheels: Metallic Thick Red and Metallic Dark Silver. The top trim, S, comes in Denim Black with 3D branding on the tank, diamond cut machined alloy rims, gold engine and body parts, machined engine fins, and the Connect 2.0 telematics suite.

Harley-Davidson X440: Rivalry

Priced between Rs 2.29 lakh and Rs 2.69 lakh, the Harley-Davidson X440 will compete with the Classic 350 and Meteor 350 from Royal Enfield, which start at Rs 1.93 lakh and Rs 2.04 lakh ex-showroom, respectively. In addition to Royal Enfield, Harley-Davidson will have to contend with the Honda H’ness CB350, priced at Rs 2.10 lakh, the Jawa 42, priced at Rs 1.72 lakh, and the Yezdi Roadster, priced at Rs 2.01 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi.

Specs for the Harley-Davidson X440 engine

The brand-new 440cc air-oil cooled single-cylinder engine is jointly developed by Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson. The engine produces a total of 27 horsepower and 38 Newton-meters of torque. The drivetrain is coupled to a 6-speed transmission with assist and a hydraulic clutch. According to Harley-Davidson, the X440’s maximal torque is generated at 2000rpm.

X440: Harley-Davidson Hardware

Beginning with the ByBre braking system, the new Harley-Davidson features a 320mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS. It features KYB USB 43mm front suspension and gas-filled twin shocks with 7-step adjustable preload at the rear. The front tires on the X440 are 18 inches wide and 100/90 inches wide, while the rear tires are 17 inches wide and 140/70 inches wide. The roadster has a saddle height of 805mm, a ground clearance of 170mm, and a fuel capacity of 13.5 litres.

Harley-Davidson X440: Characteristics

The X440 comes with an extensive list of features. All illumination is LED, including the headlights with daytime running lights, tail lamps, and indicators. It has a single pod 3.5-inch speedometer with a TFT display that features Day and Night display modes. The top-of-the-line S model is equipped with Connect 2.0, which displays more than 25 notifications via a mobile application on the display. It provides information such as turn-by-turn navigation, music control, accept or reject calls, message notification, distance to empty reading, locate my vehicle, and the status of the phone’s battery.
