Hero MotoCorp Bikes Set for Price Hike: Hero MotoCorp announced on Friday that it will increase the prices of certain motorcycle and scooter models beginning Tuesday, October 3. The average price increase will be approximately one percent, but the specifics will differ by model.

This announcement was made after a routine evaluation of pricing, market conditions, and competitive positioning. The prices of Hero Motocorp’s motorcycles and scooters are increasing for the second time in three months. They had increased prices of select motorcycles and scooters by 1.5 per cent on July 3.

While Hero MotoCorp has not yet disclosed which models will be affected by this price increase, the decision comes during India’s current holiday season. The company’s decision to raise prices is motivated by a desire to establish a balance between maintaining competitiveness and resolving factors such as fluctuating input costs.

Hero MotoCorp, India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, offers a variety of motorcycles and scooters, including commuter and performance motorcycles with engine capacities varying from 100 cc to 210 cc and scooters predominantly equipped with 125 cc engines.

However, Hero MotoCorp has not yet disclosed which models will be subject to this price increase. The decision to raise prices coincides with the company’s emphasis on expanding its market share and assuring sustained business growth through a succession of forthcoming product launches in the coming quarters.

Hero MotoCorp has recently reintroduced the iconic Karizma brand as the new Karizma XMR 210 motorcycle, contributing to this objective. Karizma was introduced in late August at an introductory price of Rs 1.73 lakh (ex-showroom). On October 1st, when the introductory offer expires, the price of the motorcycle will increase. The Karizma XMR 210 will be available for 1,80,000 rupees (ex-showroom) on October 1.
