Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh’s son, Vikramaditya Singh, filed his nomination as the party’s candidate for Shimla rural Constituency on Friday and expressed confidence that he would win the election. The youngest Congress legislator, Singh, is optimistic about winning the elections and fulfilling his father’s dream of making Shimla Rural the best Assembly segment in the state.

“With the people’s support, I filled the Shimla Rural nomination for the second time. I’d like to tell you that while in opposition, I was able to complete development projects worth 100 crore rupees “He stated. “I want to realise my father, late Raja Virbhadra Singh Ji’s, dream of making Shimla rural the best assembly segment in the state. We were able to develop 1500 crore rupees here under his leadership “Vikramaditya Singh stated.

He stated that the Congress party had promised ten guarantees, including job creation and the implementation of Old Pension Schemes for employees, among other things. People are unhappy with the BJP government’s policies, he claims, and they want to change the government and elect the Congress to power.

“Because unemployment is a major issue, I have promised 5000 jobs to people in my district. The people of the state will elect a Congress government. We will carry out our ten promises, which include giving women 1500 rupees as job security “Singh stated. Meanwhile, BJP candidate Ravi Mehta announced that he would run against the Congress party and win the assembly seat, allowing the party to contribute to the formation of a government for the second time in a row.

“I am pleased to file a nomination from the Shimla rural constituency today. Because the Congress candidate is an MLA and the son of the state Congress Chief here, this will be a battle between the state Congress leadership and me as a small party worker. This assembly seat is significant because the BJP will win it after 20 years because people want the BJP to govern the state again. People want to vote for the BJP, led by Jai Ram Thakur, because of the progress made during the state’s five years of government “Ravi Mehta stated this after submitting his nomination. Earlier on Wednesday, Himachal Chief Minister Jairam Thakur filed his nomination for the state assembly elections from his traditional seat of Seraj in Mandi district. After submitting his nomination, Jai Ram Thakur sought public support and stated that the people of Seraj will once again make history.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the BJP will win the upcoming assembly elections and stated that the state has seen development in every sector over the last five years. On Wednesday, the BJP released its first list of 62 candidates. The state legislature has 68 seats. In the previous assembly elections, the BJP won 44 seats and the Congress won 21. Himachal Pradesh will vote on November 12, and the results will be announced on December 8.
