Hyderabad: Man murders singer wife on suspicion of cheating

In a tragic incident, a woman hailing from Punjab, was found dead at her residence at Owaisi Colony in Santosh Nagar, Hyderabad on Wednesday morning. The preliminary investigations suggest that the husband murdered her suspecting her to be cheating on him.

According to the details of the incident, Sania was an orchestra singer. She had got married to Sheikh Salman. The couple have a son and have been living at Santosh Nagar from past six months. The couple used to quarrel quite often on trivial issues. Salman suspected his wife to be cheating on him.

It was around 8am on Wednesday that police got a call from locals informing them about a foul smell emanating from Victim’s residence. 25-year-old Sania Begum was found dead with burns lying on a mattress on the floor. Deceased’s hands and legs were tied with plastic wire.

According to the officials, the incident happened in the night of 23rd October, when Salman brutally murdered his wife and set her body ablaze. Later, he fled away.

A case was registered under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
