ICSE, ISC Result 2020 announced: Check CISCE class 10th, 12th results @ cisce.org; Direct links here

ICSE, ISC Results 2020: Candidates of ICSE and ISC board results who have appeared in the class 10th and 12th exams can now check their result online by visiting the website at ‘cisce.org’, and ‘results.cisce.org’.

ICSE, ISC Results 2020: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) has announced the ICSE and ISC board exam results on Friday, July 10, 2020, at 3 PM. Candidates of ICSE and ISC board results who have appeared in the class 10th and 12th exams can now check their result online by visiting the website at ‘cisce.org’, and ‘results.cisce.org’.

Gerry Arathoon, chief executive and secretary, Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) said in a press statement on Thursday, the class 10 (ICSE) and class 12 (ISC) 2020 results will be going be announced on Friday at 3 pm.

Last month, CISCE informed the Supreme Court that the remaining exam will be marked based on the student’s performance in previous examinations and internal assessment. On July 2, the Council had released a revised assessment scheme that had internal assessment marks, and marks scored in the best three subjects as components.

Important factors of CISCE Internal Assessment Scheme

  • 1. Average of a student’s best three papers marks in board exam
  • 2. Subject internal assessment (for 10th class)/ Subject project and practical work
  • 3. Percentage Subject Internal Assessment (for ICSE/ 10th Class) or Percentage subject Project and Practical Work (For 12th / ISC).

The council also said that the internal assessment component measures the subject proficiency of the student and the average marks are a measure of their general academic ability.

Steps to check ICSE 10th, ISC 12th Results 2020 online:

  • Go to the official results website of CISCE
  • On the homepage, select the course ICSE or ISC as required
  • Enter your UID, Index number and Captcha
  • Click on show result
  • The result will be displayed
  • Take a print out of the results for future need

Schools affiliated to CISCE will be able to access their students’ results by logging into the CAREERS portal using Principal’s login ID and password.

Steps to check ISC Result 2020 via SMS:

Students can check their ISC 2020 result via SMS too. They will need to send a text message to a number in the format provided below:

Type ISC and send it to 09248082883

Passing marks for 10th, 12th students:

  • Students who score a minimum of 33% marks in class 10th and 40% marks in class 12th will be declared pass.

Earlier last month, CISCE had told the Supreme Court that it will not hold the pending ICSE, ISC examinations due to the surging Covid-19 cases. However, it had also informed the Court that it will give the option to write remaining exams to both classes 10th and 12th students if they wish to improve their results.

ISC Result 2019 details:

In 2019, the ISC 12th result was declared online on May 7, 2019. A total of 86,713 candidates have taken the examination, of which 39,964 were girls and 44,597 were boys.

3,016 students were unable to pass the examination. The overall pass percentage was 98.34 which increased by around 2 per cent from the previous year. The Class 12th exams were held between February 22 and March 25, 2019.

In ISC 2019 results too, the pass percentage for girls was 97.84 and for boys it was 95.40%.

ICSE, Result 2020: Last year’s pass percent

In 2019, 98.54% students passed the class 10th exam while 96.52% students cleared ISC or class 12th exam.

A total of 1,96,271 students appeared for the 10th Boards (ICSE) in 2019 from 2247 schools in India. Out of which, 89297 were girls and 106974 were boys. In ICSE 2019 results, girls did better than boys. Last year, the pass percentage of girls was 99.05% while boys had achieved a pass percentage of 98.12%.
