IGNOU OPENMAT 2020 registration process begins for MBA admissions

IGNOU OPENMAT 2020: National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the online application process for IGNOU OPENMAT 2020. NTA will hold the OPENMAT XLVII for admission to management (MBA) programme on April 29, 2020.

The IGNOU entrance exam for admission to MBA programmes is known as OPENMAT, which until last year was held twice in a year. Interested and eligible candidates can apply through online at ignouexams.nta.nic.in. The online registration process will be concluded on March 23.

In case, a candidate had made a mistake while filling the application form they can make corrections in the same on March 28 and March 29, 2020.

NTA will release the admit card of the IGNOU OPENMAT 2020 entrance exam on April 9. IGNOU OPENMAT exam will be a computer-based test.

Educational Qualification:

A candidate must be graduate (including Chartered Accountancy/Cost Accountancy/Company Secretaryship) with 50% marks for general category/45% for reserved category as per government of India norms.

In case of the grading system, students should ensure that his/her CGPA should meet the eligibility percentage requirement.

Exam Pattern:

The OPENMAT Entrance Exam consists of four tests (Sections):

  • Test 1 comprises of 30 questions of General Awareness,
  • Test II consists of 50 questions of English language,
  • Test III is of Quantitative Aptitude which consists of 50 questions, and
  • Test IV is of Reasoning consisting of 70 questions.

Application fee IGNOU OPENMAT 2020:

For General OBC category candidates, the application fee is Rs 800 and Rs 600 for candidates in SC, ST, and EWS categories.

IGNOU OPENMAT will be conducted in one session 3 hours’ duration. The total number of questions for all the four exams is 200 and each question will be of one mark. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.

OPENMAT consists of four tests or sections-

  • Test I comprises 30 General Awareness questions.
  • Test II consists of 50 English Language questions.
  • Test III consists of 50 Quantitative Aptitude questions.
  • Test IV will have 70 Reasoning Ability questions.

The total number of questions in OPENMAT will be 200 and each question will carry 1 mark. There is no negative marking for wrong answers.
