Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan was detained by immigration officers at the Los Angeles airport on Thursday evening. Taking to Twitter, he wrote that he fully understands and respects security, but to be “detained at US immigration every…time really really sucks.” However, the good news? He caught some “really nice Pokemons” during his wait!
I fully understand & respect security with the way the world is, but to be detained at US immigration every damn time really really sucks.

On his detention, he said, “I told them I was a movie star and had recently visited the country for the shooting of my film. Nothing seemed to convince the immigration officer. There were other immigration officers who even vouched for me but this particular officer did not listen to anyone. I even told them I had an invitation from the South Asian community and was there to attend an event.”
The assistant secretary of state in the US state department Nisha Biswal replied to Shah Rukh Khan’s tweet on being detained in the Los Angeles Airport, saying sorry for the hassle. She added that American diplomats also get pulled up for extra screening.

SRK replied to both saying he understands and respects protocol. Thanking them for their concern, he added that it was just a “tad bit” inconvenient.
This isn’t the first time the ‘Fan’ star is being detained. In 2012, he was detained at the New York airport of more than two hours by immigration officials.
