Team India defeated the Netherlands by 56 runs to win the T20 World Cup for the second time in a row on Thursday.

India chose to bat and after scoring 179 for 2, they held the Netherlands to 123 for 9. Rohit Sharma (53), Virat Kohli (62 not out), and Suryakumar Yadav (51 not out) all scored brilliant fifties as India put on a strong batting performance.

Paul van Meekeren (1/32) and Fred Klaassen (1/33) each secured one wicket for the Netherlands. Bhuvneshwar Kumar (2/9) and Arshdeep Singh (2/37) of the pace team, along with Axar Patel (2/18) and Ravichandran Ashwin (2/21) of the spin team, excelled defensively for India.
