The judicial custody of Bollywood actor Rhea Chakaborty will end on Tuesday. Chakaborty’s brother Showik and Sushant Singh Rajput’s former manager Samuel Miranda will also be produced before the court along with the 28-year-old actor and 17 others arrested in the case.

At least five people were killed and one other injured in a road accident in Uttar Pradesh’s Deoria, police said. The accident occurred on Monday night on the Salempur-Laar road. According to Station Officer T.J. Singh, a scooty, motorcycle, and an SUV were found in damaged condition at the accident site.

India on Tuesday reported a spike of 61,267 new Covid-19 cases and 884 deaths in the last 24 hours. With this, the total case tally stands at 66,85,083 including 9,19,023 active cases. The number of those who have been cured, discharged, or migrated stands at 56,62,491 while the death toll has risen to 1,03,569 deaths, the Union Health Ministry said.
