India rises to No 1: Following their victory over Australia in the series opener, which propelled them to the top of the ODI rankings, India became the top-ranked team across all three game types.
After defeating Australia by five wickets on Friday, India (116 rating points) surpassed Pakistan (115) to take the top spot in the rankings.
India has already dominated the Test and T20 rankings and now dominates all other formats.

A team has only ever reached the top spot across all formats once before in the history of men’s cricket. Only South Africa had previously accomplished this feat, back in August 2012.

Despite losing two points, Australia (111) continues to rank third in the ODI standings.

The second of the three ODIs between India and Australia is on Sunday.
