The India-Australia series will flow in advance as the 2 teams will clash off in the longest and purest layout of the sport. The test series between two nations otherwise known as Border-Gavaskar Trophy will kick off from December 17 in Adelaide.

Squads:

Unlike the previous series, Aussies will gain from the services of Steve Smith but not David Warner as he got injured in the ODIs. Will Pucovski who was set to make his Test debut will also miss the dressing room services for the home side. Cameroon Green’s availability for the first Test is also in doubt.

For Visitors, Captain Virat Kohli will return home after 1st Test. In his absence, Anjikaya Rahane will lead the team in the remaining matches. Rohit Sharma will be available with his services after the second Test match. Although BCCI will have the final call on the opener services after he completes his 14-day isolation.

Schedule:

The Border-Gavaskar Trophy will commence on December 17th. The opening Test will be played with pink balls as it is a day-night Test. Australia has participated in seven pink-ball Tests while India has only played in one.

Like every other time, Melbourne Cricket Ground will host the Boxing Day Test from December 26. Sydney (from January 7) and Brisbane (from January 15) will host the next two Test matches.
