Indian Coast Guard notification: The official notification has been issued by the Indian Coast Guard for the recruitment of the post of Navik (general duty) in the Indian Coast Guard. Interested candidates can apply for the post at the official website, joinindiancoastguard.gov.in.
The online application process will begin from January 26 to February 2, 2020. The recruitment drive is being conducted to fill up the 260 vacancies.
Firstly, the application form of a candidate will be shortlisted on the basis of class 12th. As per centre changes the cut off marks will also vary. Candidates who are shortlisted will have to appear for a written exam followed by a physical fitness test (PFT) and medical standard test.
Then, the selected candidates will be shortlisted for training which will start in the month of August 2020.
Eligibility criteria of Indian Coast Guard notification
- Age: Candidates must be of 18 years and the upper age is capped at 22 years. For reserved candidates belonging to SC/ST category, a relaxation of five years in upper age is given and OBC category will get a relaxation of three years.
- Education: Applicants should be class 12th pass with maths and physics as subjects and should have obtained 50 per cent marks aggregate. For the reserved category, the minimum marks are relaxed by 5 per cent (till 45 per cent).
Salary
Selected candidates will be paid a salary up to Rs 21700 with allowances extra.
