As part of India’s Techade-Chips for Viksit Bharat initiative, the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has today arranged for the live transmission of the ceremony during which the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, laid the foundation stones for three semiconductor facilities.
At 10:30 a.m., the Prime Minister delivered a speech to the young of the nation, ceremoniously laying the cornerstone for three semiconductor facilities within the country. To elevate India to a prominent position in the worldwide semiconductor sector, this innovative endeavor seeks to cultivate the expansion of semiconductor ecosystems within the country.
In the course of the virtual ceremony, Prime Minister Modi commenced operations at three semiconductor facilities: Morigaon (Assam), Sanand (Gujarat), and the Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facility situated in the Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR) in Gujarat.
Faculty, staff, and students, in addition to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mohammad Gulrez, and the Registrar, Mr. Mohammad Imran (IPS), were in attendance in significant numbers at the Kennedy Hall Auditorium, where Aligarh Muslim University had arranged for the live broadcast to be viewed.
Additionally, AMU-affiliated institutions coordinated the live broadcast with their faculty and students at their respective venues.
AMU’s STS School, Ahmadi School for the Visually Challenged, Abdullah School, Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh AMU City School, Senior Secondary School (Girls), and AMU City Girls’ High School all streamed live the ceremony commemorating the laying of the foundation stone. Teachers, students, and staff joined the live stream with great enthusiasm, contributing to India’s monumental stride towards establishing itself as a prominent participant in the global semiconductor industry.
