Jaipur: Librarian Recruitment 2019 paper leaks 2 hours before exam, 6 arrested

A paying guest hostel has been raided by the crime branch team of Jaipur police commissionerate in Vidhyadhar Nagar area and six people arrested including two women candidates.

Two hours before the commencement of the exam of librarian recruitment 2019, the paper was leaked. A paying guest hostel has been raided by the crime branch team of Jaipur police commissionerate in Vidhyadhar Nagar area. Six people arrested including two women candidates.

The kingpin is identified as Sandeep who runs a coaching institute and two others are Shiv Bhagwan and Vikram are still at large.

The senior officials said that the police have been searching for them. The paper leak matter is yet to be confirmed by the board.

The future of thousands of candidates will be in danger if the paper is cancelled due to the uncertainty that prevailed over the exam. As per officials, they said the decision is made only after the police report is received.

The exam began at 9 AM but the paper was leaked two hours before the examination. During the investigation, police seized laptop, printer, mobile and Rs 30,000 at the PG hostel.

The paper was sold to the candidates for Rs 5 lakh each, as per preliminary investigation.

Candidates who were arrested are mentioned below:

  • Mausami Choudhary (candidate), a resident of Phagi area
  • Brahma Choudhary
  • Amit Choudhary, a resident of Mandawa in Jhunjhunu
  • Pradeep Kumar, a resident of Laxmangarh in Sikar
  • Surendra Kumar, a resident of Phagi
  • Manoj Kumar, a resident of Thoi in Sikar

“Some other members of the gang are at large. We have launched a search for them. The questions in the paper found in possession of those arrested match exactly with the questions in the original paper,” said a senior police officer.
