Janhvi Kapoor’s Childhood Home: The childhood home of Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor is now open to the public in Chennai.
The mansion is now available for rent through Airbnb, a vacation rental company. Janhvi’s late mother and actress Sridevi owned the mansion previously.
ABP Live reports that the house will be available to “select” Airbnb guests who will also have a chance to discuss Kapoor’s favorite beauty hacks and taste fresh, authentic South Indian food.
“This offers the most intimate access to Bollywood’s most famous family,” said Airbnb CEO and co-founder Brian Chesky at the launch event.
This was Sridevi’s first home purchase before she married producer Boney Kapoor.
However, after Sridevi passed away in 2018, Boney Kapoor renovated the mansion due to leaks and maintenance issues.
In 2022, Janhvi Kapoor shared a glimpse of her Chennai home with Vogue India.
Janhvi had told Vogue, “She and I would leave for Chennai a day or two before my father would arrive because she’d want to decorate the house with flowers and make sure all the dishes he loved were ready. You’d always hear the strains of Mani Ratnam and A. R. Rahman’s music when mum was around. Once, dad made his famous extra cheesy, extra creamy scrambled eggs, and we all sat around and ate them on this very patio. It was exciting because it was the first time he had cooked for us.”
The mansion includes a sumptuous living area, a secret room, a patio, a gallery of family portraits, a TV lounge, artworks created by Janhvi and her younger sister Khushi Kapoor during the lockdown, and a beautifully designed bathroom.
There are also iconic properties on Airbnb that include Janhvi’s childhood home, the real-life house from Disney Pixar’s ‘Up’ in Abiquiu, New Mexico, the X-Men mansion in Westchester County, a private Doja Cat concert at Kevin Hart’s Coramino Live Lounge, Prince’s Purple Rain house in Minneapolis, and Inside Out’s headquarters.
