Is JDU Vice President Prashant Kishor being alienated in his own party?

The speculation of a widening rift between political strategist Prashant Kishor and Janata Dal (United) chief Nitish Kumar seems to be gaining momentum.

Kishor on Monday in a tweet hit out at JD(U) for supporting the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019.

Kishor, who’s Indian Political Action Committee (IPAC) has been part of several successful political campaigns, was anointed the vice-president of Janata Dal (United) by Nitish Kumar himself in October 2018.

“Disappointed to see JDU supporting CAB that discriminates right of citizenship on the basis of religion. It’s incongruous with the party’s constitution that carries the word secular thrice on the very first page and the leadership that is supposedly guided by Gandhian ideals,” Kishor said in a statement on Twitter.
