In a highly tragic incident, two women and a teen girl were mowed down bya speeding train. The incident took place on Monday morning in Jharkhand’s Palamu area.
The deceased including a five month pregnant woman have been identified as Sarita Devi (22), Radhika Devi (32) and her daughter Richa Kumar (13).
As per the reports, the trio were on the way for defecation near Lalgarh railway station on Monday morning when the approaching Garib Rath Express hit the three, leading to their death.
All three died on the spot. The dead bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
The incident has put a question mark on the government’s claim of Jharkhand being an open defecation free (ODF) state.
