Dhanbad: A fresh wave of protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), the National Register of Citizens (NRC) and the National Population Register (NPR) came from Wasseypur, Jharkhand on Tuesday as more than 4,000 people took out a march from Ara Mor around 10 AM.
During the protest, allegedly objectionable comments and slogans were raised against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Despite heavy police deployment, the city remained chaotic for hours after the demonstration.
Following this, the administration filed sedition case against three thousand unidentified people, including 7 nominated. Simultaneously a section of treason (124-A) has also been imposed.
While speaking to Newsd, City SP R Ramkumar said that on the instructions of the district administration, a case has been registered under different sections, including a stream of treason.

On a written complaint by Dhanbad cricle officer Prashant Kumar Laiq, the police has filed an FIR against the protesters for allegedly blocking traffic jams and shouting slogans hurting religious sentiments without permission.
Police is investigating the case and making full efforts to identify the unknown by watching the video. No arrests have been made as of now.
As per the latest updates, the protesters are discussing the option to mass surrender before the police instead of applying for bail.
