There seems to be a never-ending exchange of allegations and accusations between the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress in Jamtara in Jharkhand. BJP party workers on Wednesday night stopped Congress MLA, Irfan Ansari, and forced him to chant ‘Vande Mataram’ and ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’. The incident is being viewed as a reaction to the tiranga yatra in Mihijam in Jharkhand, as reported by Newscode.

Police took control and tried to ease the situation in the area. However, Congress workers on Thursday morning demanded the arrest of BJP activists.

Also, a protest was carried out and headed by Mihijam Congress chief, Kameshwar Tiwari. They are scheduled to meet Jamtara Superintendent at 2:00 pm on Thursday, regarding the arrest of BJP  party workers, who were involved in the incident that took place last night. They threatened to carry out a fiery protest if action is not taken against the BJP workers.

Tiwari has warned BJP workers to mind their actions. “Their ‘goondaism’ will not be tolerated by us. We expect the administration to take action against them. Otherwise, we will be bound to stage a massive protest”.

The BJP, on the other hand, has slammed the Congress’s statements.
