Jharkhand: Man stoned to death in drunken brawl

Pakur: A man was stoned to death by unidentified people followed by a drunken brawl in Jharkhand’s Pakur district on Thursday.

Vakil Hembram, a resident of Labda village in Pakur district had gone to watch a football match in the neighboring village Gutipara on Thursday. When he didn’t return that night his family members informed the police.

On Friday morning, Gutipara villagers saw a dead body and immediately informed the police which was later identified by the police as Vakil Hembram.

An FIR was lodged against the unidentified persons at the Littipara police station said the Sub Inspector (SI), Sunil Sharma. Sharma added that police is trying to find out the motive behind Hembram’s killing.

The deceased body was sent for the postmortem by the police. Further details are awaited.
