Palamu: Two members of a family have been arrested for allegedly strangulating a man over defecating next to his house.  According to police the accused allegedly had an altercation over the open defecation besides their house and followed to his killing.

Manager Ram was accused by his neighbor of defecating near their house followed by physical confrontation, said Superintendent of Police Indrajeet Mahatha.

He was strangulated in a fit of rage by the family members leading to his death, he said.

Police have arrested the two brothers Chhotu and Mahendra after receiving the complaint, while the father and a brother of the accused managed to escape.

An FIR has been registered based on the victim’s son and wife statement said the SP of Palamu.
