Jimin Confirms BTS 2026 Comeback: After nearly four years of group hiatus imposed by mandatory military service, BTS are officially gearing up for a full-scale comeback in spring 2026. The group made this announcement in a live stream on July 1 2025, marking the first time all seven members: Jin, Suga, J‑Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook appeared together to reveal their next chapter.
During the broadcast, the group shared:
We’ll be releasing a new BTS album in the spring of next year. Starting in July, all seven of us will begin working closely together on new music. Since it will be a group album, it will reflect each member’s thoughts and ideas.”
This reveals that not only is the comeback scheduled, but the creative process is already underway, with a return to the group’s collective roots.
Jimin Confirms BTS 2026 Comeback
Following their debut in 2013 and meteoric rise globally, BTS paused group activities in 2022 so members could fulfil South Korea’s mandatory military service.
With all members now discharged (notably Suga being the last in June 2025) the path is clear for full-group action.
Their upcoming album will be the first full-group studio release since their 2020 album “Be” (and 2022’s anthology “Proof”) signalling a significant turning point.

The group is also planning a global world tour to coincide with the album release both of which indicate a major push to reignite their presence on the world stage.
For fans (ARMY) and the music industry at large, this comeback isn’t just another album, it’s a comeback of one of the most influential pop acts of their generation.
