After an armed group of men attacked the students and the teachers on the JNU campus, the netizens and Bollywood celebs were left shocked about the violence at the university.
In a peaceful gathering of hundreds, Bollywood was at the forefront with prominent personalities from the fraternity directors Vishal Bhardwaj, Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar and actors Taapsee Pannu and Richa Chadha were among the host of Bollywood personalities who turned up at Carter Road in Mumbai in solidarity with those protesting against the violence at the JNU.
For the same peaceful protest, director Vishal Bhardwaj has taken to Twitter urging people to join. He had written, “Peaceful Silent Assembly in support of the students of India tonight the 6th of January 2020, from 8 pm to 10 pm, Carter Road Promenade opposite cafe coffee day.”
