Jongho suspends activities and returns to Korea: Jongho of ATEEZ has temporarily suspended all operations owing to health concerns.
KQ Entertainment announced on August 20 local time that Jongho, who is presently in Los Angeles for KCON LA 2023, would be returning to Korea to be diagnosed and treated for “extreme pain” in his leg.
The agency explained that although Jongho had previously been diagnosed with a meniscus tear following his most recent ankle injury, he opted for “conservative treatment” due to his “strong will” to continue performing on stage.

We regrettably share some health updates regarding Jongho with the supporters who have supported ATEEZ without reservation.
Jongho was diagnosed with a “meniscus rupture” following his most recent ankle injury, but due to his strong desire to return to the stage, he focused on conservative treatment and recovery, including injections that helped alleviate pain and boost regenerative qualities. However, after today’s event, Jongho experienced excruciating pain, so we have decided to promptly cancel his plans for August 20 (local time) and have him return to Korea for a thorough examination and treatment by medical professionals. As artist health is of paramount importance, we ask for your understanding. Following the examination results, updates and additional details will be provided. We apologise for any inconvenience the unexpected news may have caused, and we will do everything possible to ensure Jongho’s rapid recovery.
