The case basically grows out of allegations about serious irregularities in recruitment examinations held by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission. This controversy has kicked up large scale demonstrations in Ranchi and in other parts of the state, while aspirants argued that deserving candidates were hurt by the alleged irregularities in some way.
