ISIS used chemical arms 52 times in Iraq, Syria, says report

The Islamic State has used chemical weapons at least 52 times on Iraq and Syria since 2014, an Independent analysis said.
IHS Conflict Monitor, a London based intelligence collection and analysis service, analysed that more than one-third of the chemical attacks have carried out in and around Mosul, ISIS stronghold in the northern Iraq.
IHS further said that there is high risk that the group will deploy the chemical weapons again in Mosul against civilians or the military forces trying to retake the northern Iraq city, Mosul.

Most used chemical weapons were chlorine and sulfur mustard agents. Sulfur mustard,an internationally banned substance that burns a victim’s skin, breathing passages and eyes.
The analysis said Mosul was the centre of chemical weapons production. Experts believed that ISIS moved the materials and experts to Syria ahead of the Iraqi offensive to free the city.
Chemical warfare agents were broadly banned and condemned by most nations under international convention.
