Karawal Nagar MLA Kapil Mishra has been disqualified from the Delhi Legislative Assembly on the grounds of defection. House speaker Ram Niwas Goel gave his decision on the petition by Saurabh Bharadwaj.
“Shri Kapil Mishra, the Respondent in the case, an elected Member of the Legislative Assembly of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, elected from Karawal Nagar, Constituency No. 70 has become subject to disqualification under Paragraph 2(a) of the Tenth Schedule of the Constitution,” the order read.
