After a Karnataka minister alleged horse-trading, accusing BJP of meeting three Congress MLAs in a hotel in Mumbai and leader BS Yeddyurappa quashing the claims, say that it was JD(S) who was attempting poaching, in the latest the saffron party has decided to take the MLAs to a Gurgaon based resort.

Accusing Kumaraswamy of horse trading, The BJP leader said, “he(Kumaraswamy) promised money & ministership to our Kalaburji MLA”. This comes soon after reports regarding BJP plan submitting a no-confidence motion saw the light.

Sources in the BJP told media that the party is already in contact with as many as 10 MLAs of Congress and three belonging to the JD(S) party.

On Thursday reports surfaced suggested a rife in the Congress-JD(S) alliance. Reportedly, CM Kumaraswamy had said party’s MLAs and MLCs that he was working like a clerk and not as the Chief Minister due to interference from the other party in alliance, Congress.

2 days later, Prime Minister Narendra Modi while speaking at the BJP National Convention cited reports of Kumaraswamy calling him “clerk”. Modi said, “In Karnataka, where the coalition’s first government was formed, the Chief Minister there is so worried and it has only been a few months that he says instead of a Chief Minister, he has been treated like a clerk.”

To this Kumaraswamy had replied, “I am amused to see Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi reacting to a statement which I never made. After farmers loan this is the second time he is reacting to false information/statement. Such statements won’t deter our coalition government from the development agenda.”
