Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday dismissed opposition demands for his resignation following a High Court ruling that permitted an investigation into a site allotment case. Instead, Siddaramaiah accused the Narendra Modi-led NDA government of engaging in vendetta politics against opposition-ruled state governments, including his own.

Siddaramaiah declared his intention to confront the accusations politically and said he would seek advice from legal experts and party leaders before deciding on his next course of action. ‘I still say I have done no wrong,’ he emphasized, asserting that the charges against him were part of a larger conspiracy.

The Chief Minister criticized the BJP and JD(S) for allegedly conspiring against him and misusing the Raj Bhavan. He stated that the BJP, unable to come to power through popular mandate, attempted to destabilize his government using ‘money power’ and ‘operation Kamala.’ He reassured that his party and high command were united behind him in the ongoing legal battle.
