Karnataka: 26-year-old Arun, a youth congress leader of Allasandra block, hacked to death on Sunday night at Yelahanka. Around 02:30 AM on Monday, Arun was reportedly returning after watching a film, when a group of six to eight people attacked him.
The alleged attackers chased him for around two kilometers and attacked him with swords. Police suspect political rivalry behind the attack and they are also investigating the CCTV footage that captured the attack.
The victim died on the spot owing to heavy blood loss following the severe head injury. Yelahanka Town police have registered the case and currently investigating the matter after the CCTV footage was found and the attackers are being identified based on the footage.
