Kasba Assembly Constituency 2025: Kasba is Assembly Constituency No. 58 in the Purnia district of Bihar. Located in the northeastern part of the state, it is part of the Purnia Lok Sabha constituency. The region is predominantly rural, with agriculture being the mainstay of its economy.

In the last Bihar Assembly elections in 2020, Md. Afaque Alam who represented the Indian National Congress (INC) was declared the winner for the Kasba seat after he defeated Pradeep Kumar Das of the Lok Jan Shakti Party (LJSP) by 17,278 votes. The percentage of votes that went to Afaque Alam was 41.12%, whereas Das’s share was 31.94%. The Lok Sabha /Niyojan (Assembly) statistics informs us that in Kasba, the INC has been one of the main parties with a success rate of 57% over the years which indicates strong voter support.
