Khiladi of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar is getting ready for his new project ‘Kesari’, in which he will portray the role of Havildar Isher Singh of the Saragarhi unit of the 36th Sikh Regiment. Akshay himself posted the poster of the film on his social media handles.
On Monday night, Akshay Kumar posted the first look of his upcoming a period-cum action-drama Kesari, he also disclosed that the ‘glimpses of Kesari’ will be out on Tuesday. He wrote, “Unraveling the pages of history to the bravest battle ever fought. #GlimpsesOfKesari from tomorrow, are you ready?”
Today morning, Akshay Kumar shared a new poster of his upcoming film Kesari. He captioned, “Aaj meri pagdi bhi Kesari, jo bahega mera woh lahoo bhi Kesari, aur mera jawaab bhi Kesari. Get ready for #GlimpsesOfKesari from 2pm onwards. #Kesari”
Directed by Anurag Singh and produced by Karan Johar under Dharma production, Kesari is based on the battle of Saragarhi fought between the British Indian army’s Sikh Regiment and Afghan tribesmen in September 1897. Akshay Kumar is Portraying the role of Havildar Ishar Singh, who led the regiment in Saragarhi battle and defended his post against the army of 10,000 Afghan soldiers and even managed to successfully stop two attacks.
The movie will be released in theaters on 21st March 2019. The movie also features Parineeti Chopra and Ashwath Bhatt in pivotal roles.
